I took these at the Anglesey meet, on the Saturday night. I'd brought the toy soldiers for other duties on the beach, but they were happy to come out and play here, and the more we drank, the happier the occupants of the house were to come up with ideas ![]()
This is the first in the series, I'll upload the rest as variants.
So here is: The Charge Of The Light Brigade (trust me, the jokes get a lot worse!)
Off camera flash and 430 EX were used, along with extension tubes.
C&Cs welcome

it is injustice to give only one vote to 8 beautiful images, but i have to do.
Sorry this is so late. Limited time on the computer made it nearly impossible to make any comments. So here goes. Nicely lit from the side. Good exposure. A very moving series of images capturing the tough life of a plastic soldier and fully showing their limitations of movement. Careful placing of blutak neatly secures the whole scene with a candid portrait of recumbent male as a splendid finale. ![]()
Firstly Katy, very sorry for my late comment. (a last minute invite to a friendly poker game, stole the evening I had ear-marked; but that's hardly a great excuse)
What a great fun series and you can just feel the drink taking hold as they progress
Love the idea of #1 and that combination of the black, white and grey making for easy control of the white balance. But I would have liked to see the stripe in the gap between the soldiers, and maybe cropping off half the white to make the three areas roughly equal. (And maybe with a little less vodka, you could have got away with less whitetack that could have been hidden from the camera
)
My favourite is #4 though; battling it out on the lava of an alien world ![]()
