Continuing last Sunday's adventures, a little later on we headed round to the Buchaille.
The frost rather washed the landscape out, so I converted it to b&w. Thanks especially goes to the person who's spent several hours talking me through that on MSN!

Sorry but for me its way overexposed Im being honest. But could be recovered with some good work in PP. be intersting to see the colour version
Thanks guys, there's detail in the water on my monitor in the full res version, compression seems ot have removed it,
And dominic if you can expose a black mountain and a white frosty foreground perfectly, feel free to demonstrate
It's very nice, but I wonder if your monitor is a little dark. I have uploaded a mod with two layers added. In the first I took down the brightness of the image a little and increased contrast. In the second I darkened the water and masked the rest.
Cheers,
Dad
In this image, the overexposure on the foam contributes to the overall composition. It is a case of getting an image, or not. The dynamic range is a bit too much for the camera. I like the image the way it is, and give it an A for effort. We pass up too many shots because we think the conditions aren't perfect.
PS: Katie, I had you mixed up with someone else on here. That's why I thought you changed your PF pic.
