OK another Damsel, and another image that I am happy with, but which (with yesterday's image) where I'm at at the moment.
Elements of yesterday's shot with elements of today's would make, I think a stand out shot, but I never get everything right at the same time.
Yesterday I had the whole damsel in focus, but on a rather flat and uninteresting leaf, today the composition, and perch are much more interesting, but the damsel is partly out of focus. *sigh*
One day I'll get it all right, then I'll be really happy ![]()

still good shot the fun of photography trying to get it right lol Dawn
very good damsel fly shot I think the red one is rare, not sure about that, gets my vote
It's natural Tim, nobody's perfect. Win some..loose some. We can't please everybody. But your photo is excellent, sharp to soft. Lens is lens, but our eyes is the perfect lens of all.
Dennis
Sometimes its best to have a bit slightly out of focus, it gives a more natural feel to it Tim so don't be disheartened. This is a cracker.
Many thanks for your comments by the way and good luck with the 10-20 it's a good lens. Look forward to seeing the results.
Stew
I know exactly what you are trying to achieve Tim but don't give up. This is still an excellent shot and I know how difficult it is to get a perfect one of these. IMHO I thought yesterdays was 'knockout'.
Geoff.
Thats a nice picture.
Carsten
PS: Einen tollen Profilnamen den Du da hast...
)
Thanks for the comments, and Carsten I'm afraid that I have no idea what that means but thank you. I know that my name gives the impression that I'm German but actually I don't speak a word!
Tim
@ Tim,
...
)
But what do you mean with your german profil name??
I am german
Carsten
Well schadenfreude is indeed a German word, but it is also a word that has found its way into the English language. Why it is my name is an old and tiresome story ![]()
It is very out dated now and I will change it sometime when I get round to it.
Tim
@ Tim,
... no no don't change it, I like your name...
