Just a note to say that when I put LOL on my comments I mean "lots of love", not that I am laughing out loud!!!

speechless. The image suggests the person has a warm and gentle personality. Well done.

We are looking for a house to renovate and he lived in the one we looked at yesterday and yes he does have a warm and gentle personality, and the amount of pets he had and the love he showed for them just made my day!

Tangled up in blue! Can't wait for the results to materialise. Like this as usual though its not as natural as it might be.

Goodmorning Garden Route... nice one 'though maybe not so tightly cropped? That hat looks as though it might have been fun! I shall have to rub the sleepy dust from my eyes and come back to it in a minute while I upload my Ghost Tree.

Oh, I did put a little frame around it!

OK, my eyes are a little more open now and a strong coffee is sloshing around in my veins making me feel a lot less blurry than his eyes look. He looks even better now... thank you for your coment on the Ghost Tree... it was cold that day/early morning and I had the hood down. I remember there was trouble with condensation on the camera as I took it out of its warm, cozy case.

I took the picture indoors without using flash so the light is not quite natural but i liked the effect, brought out the blue more.

Kepp the flash in its case.... you don't need it and I hate it. Never used it in my life. Sorry, I tell a lie. It's useful sometimes outdoors with backlight when shooting black skin. Brings out some of the detail that otherwise would disappear.

hi jill, had to come back to this one.

you must have a really good way with people for them to pose with you like this. you manage to achieve really natural portraits time after time - never awkward or contrived.

there are so many characters i see in the street but never have the courage to ask to take their photo, and instead i hide behind my telephoto lens and snap from far away! maybe this is a european - or british! - thing. maybe it's just down to a difference in photographer character.

anyway, really love your portraits - they're awe inspiring.

Great character with a face that tells a story. Good light and lovely open tones. I would have liked a little less depth of field so that the marks in the background were more out of focus - you could still do this by selecting the background and applying a gausian blur.

Again, so very intense, what a portrait, Jill, thanx, click (*:*)
