You've caught one of those wonderful expressions again, Jill. Just excellent....as is the technical quality of the photograph.
P.S I bet Patricia will say that it's your best ever ![]()
Morning!
Was next-door...saw this thumnail...knew immediately it was you!
Exceptional! Your best! Even better than your EC I think...scared to say more in case I jinx it...SUPERB!!!!
I'm taking a couple of days off...desperatly need to catch up on my work, but I'll pop back for my morning coffee-mate!

speechless. The image suggests the person has a warm and gentle personality. Well done.

Goodmorning Garden Route... nice one 'though maybe not so tightly cropped? That hat looks as though it might have been fun! I shall have to rub the sleepy dust from my eyes and come back to it in a minute while I upload my Ghost Tree.
David
OK, my eyes are a little more open now and a strong coffee is sloshing around in my veins making me feel a lot less blurry than his eyes look. He looks even better now... thank you for your coment on the Ghost Tree... it was cold that day/early morning and I had the hood down. I remember there was trouble with condensation on the camera as I took it out of its warm, cozy case.
Kepp the flash in its case.... you don't need it and I hate it. Never used it in my life. Sorry, I tell a lie. It's useful sometimes outdoors with backlight when shooting black skin. Brings out some of the detail that otherwise would disappear.
David
Superb Jill, wonderful colours to the portrait and the blue rim of his hat really brings out the colour of his eyes.
Great work.
Richard
Beautiful portrait - has real emotion, and the colours are great too. Always a pleasure.
Paul
Those eyes tell a story. Great shot. Klicked. K.

hi jill, had to come back to this one.
you must have a really good way with people for them to pose with you like this. you manage to achieve really natural portraits time after time - never awkward or contrived.
there are so many characters i see in the street but never have the courage to ask to take their photo, and instead i hide behind my telephoto lens and snap from far away! maybe this is a european - or british! - thing. maybe it's just down to a difference in photographer character.
anyway, really love your portraits - they're awe inspiring.
Great character with a face that tells a story. Good light and lovely open tones. I would have liked a little less depth of field so that the marks in the background were more out of focus - you could still do this by selecting the background and applying a gausian blur.
Again, so very intense, what a portrait, Jill, thanx, click (*:*)
Reaches deep inside. This is so good so I'll not spoil it with words.
Great portrait. Love the eyes and the stubble.
Christine
Excellent!
Well worth an EC. The 2nd of many more to come me thinks.

Graham (Mathusala) hogged the computer yesterday! Well it was his turn! Told me you'd got an EC for a cracking portrait and he was so right. Don't think you could better this Jill - fitting tribute to your week's work and postings. You obviously work from the heart. Many congratulations,
Kath

Jill,
every time I look at the EC page I can't take my eyes off this shot. I love it.
I am not going to even try to say why.
Just don't stop doing what you keep doing. (I think I stole that line from song - ummm.. anyway...)
If... only.... I.... Could.... press.... the.... shutter ....at ...the ....right ....time... and ....the ....right ....moment .... bugger ... missed it again.
A well deserved EC and a belated click from me

Superb! You say you like the blue, but for me it is that background wall saturated color that kicks the ass!
Claudio
I had to look at your work. I would actually be interested in buying this. Got a higher version for download?
Yes I do, but it is on show at the moment in Crete, it is a limited Edition of 50 certified prints and copy one is available there, where are you? Perhaps you can give me your e mail address and I can give you more info, I cannot put my e mail on the web.
