This 50/50 split works perfectly with getting all the elements in the frame.I don't think you could have sacrificed that great sky for more poppies or vice versa. The group of trees in the centre holds this together so well.Superb Tom.
Tom.
Works for me and its quite a strong split with the clouds radiating out from it.

The divide works fabulously well. I think with it not being quite 50/50 helps.
I see your dilemma when deciding on the position of the horizon. When you have a great sky and an equally strong foreground which do you give the most prominence too?. I think you have it about right with the 50/50 position.

Excellent image. I like splitting pictures as well, either way, great fun breaking the rules.
