Hello, Russell. A lovely old door and architecture, a shame about the rubble though. Doors like this always make an interesting image. I realise that old buildings hardly ever have true lines, but your image's lines are quite distorted, especially the right side and bottom. You have good detail, colour and texture on the stonework and woodgrain. I don't think the right-hand wall or bottom steps do anything for the image. In my modification, I used the perspective tool to correct the lines, cropped, darkened the image, adjusted highlights/shadows, added a touch of contrast, colour balance and unsharp mask. The perspective tool inevitably takes away some of the edges of the picture, but I'd probably have cropped quite tightly anyway. I'd like to have got the door a little less central, but am fairly happy with the result.
Pamela.
