Portrait Session 1: Discussing the Subject.

Somebody in our U3A photography group suggested we should try taking some portraits, which duly became our April session. I decided to take a few myself too, but candids rather than posed, for some practice with the Lensbaby. A high-key treatment seemed most appropriate for this, the first image of five.

A very effective photograph, I think. It gives a good flavour of a fun afternoon.

It works really well Bill.

I always find candid's to be much better than posed shots.

Nice one, Bill. Just enough detail to see the expressions on two of the faces, which adds a story to this impressionistic portrait.

I like this Bill, it works so very well, and the sad thing about it many of us would simply throw such an image in the Trash
