I can see what you want to show here, and the reflections in the ball are quite photogenic, but the subject is swamped in other distractions, notably on the left the overexposed area on the left. This would have been very difficult to expose for due to the harsh light conditions at the time, so your best bet might have been to move around and seek a slightly difefrent viewpoint where the light wasn't shining through so much.

The other main distraction for me is the large stalk that cuts across the middle of the main subject. This might have been fixed with a little "gardening" at the time, or failing that a bit of work with the clone tool afterwards (takes time to do properly and subtly, but worth it)
