Framed
I Like the overall idea of simplicity but the background for me needs attention try -add a new layer and blur it then add a mask and brush the tulip back in fully but only brush the background back in enough to see the outline of the dark rectangles if you want the background softer try then adding a white layer and mask and brushing back til you get the effect your like - hope this helps - kindest regards Elizabeth xx

Tulips in the Blue
Hi Kate have you tried changing the texture layer mode to multiply and lowering its opacity then brushing the flowers back in and then filling with a white layer putting a mask on to the layer and once more brushing the detail and colour back? I think it would give a softer effect also I would flip the texture vertically before I started to place the lighter coloured section of the texture at the top of the image Hope my suggestions help - the right ingredients are here they just need a little more mixing - kindest regards Elizabeth xx

Painterly Poppy
A very nice piece of work I think that the touch of greenery at the bottom adds alot to the overall effect my only nit pick would be that a little more of the stem of the poppy could balance the height of the vase and as the other comments a little more space at the top of the frame - kindest regards Elizabeth xx

Lilly
First of all thank you for your comments and suggestions on my recent upload I would appreciate if you could pm me and explain your suggestions a little more in depth as I am always open to suggestions on ways to improve my photography I like your Lillies but feel that the inner white frame/line is a little too close to the petals causing the image to appear too tight in the frame otherwise I like the colour and detail of the lillies and the angle you have taken the shot at I too would prefer the background to be a little softer and less busy - kindest regards Elizabeth
