A couple of days on the Yorkshire coast, including Friday evening in Whitby. This was taken as the sun was setting, casting a warm glow.
Tried a few versions, varying the aperture and the point of focus, but preferred this one - lens wide open to isolate the lifebuoy.

Thanks all.
I did try the more usual shots loking along the pier, but got nothing worth keeping. That's why I tried something different.
I'd almost given up on the light, as the sun was behind a bank of cloud which went all the way to the horizon. However, the cloud did break up and some light got through.
