Nothing as beautiful as the monsoon rains in Kerala....

Been quite busy with stuff at work and home. Lots for me to catch up and I hope I would be forgiven for not visiting my regular pages..

Over last few weekends, i got some shots of the monsoon rains in Kerala. Hope you will enjoy it.

most grateful for comments and critiques.

( most of the shots like this one is taken from a moving car thru the wet window glass... no digital manipulation)

Its a good idea that works. I think the white area of sky is a bit too intense for the rest of the image and it might be a good idea to try some without it. The red break lights add a lot of intensity to the image - don't think it would work without them.

Reminds me of the unpredictability of wet-on-wet watercolour painting (when you put paint onto wet paper and the paint then takes control), and I'm glad you've added V2 because it's an improvement. The tiny sparks of intense red are effective against those moody greens. This is how I imagine monsoon, I can feel it. Good to see you back on the site.

Welcome back Radhika - you have been missed!
This is amazing - I can imagine myself sitting in a watertight car and still getting drenched!
The moment of pressing the shutter is well-chosen, the car in front is turning right and increasing the dynamic of the image.
