We found a wonderful little cafe in Tallinn, Estonia which had these 'still life' sets everywhere - I have a bunch of these types of photos now. And the hot chocolate was fabulous! Shot at ISO 1600 to give a grainy effect (slightly) and because the light was very low. 0.4sec @ f5.6 at 51mm on a 18-55mm lense.

Well seen and captured, lovely warm colours. The lighting makes the image, as does the beautiful wood grain and echoed pinks. I felt the top let the image down but it's a bit unbalanced without it, so I changed my mind.

Well done, first for noticing it, second for presenting it so well. I think you were wise to let the lighting speak and the top just "go!"
