Steps

StepsDramatic shot of wonderful mountain scenery - I think I would rather be on the balcony sipping a nice hot coffee than climbing up the glacier!
There seemed to be a bit too much blue in the scene and the wire across the snow was rather intrusive so I've done a mod with these points in mind - see what you think.

Rooftop level

Rooftop levelYes the pots and the angles do look very attractive and give some effective triangular shapes forming a "Z" of interesting lines - amazing what you can see out of a back window!
I am not sure about the red pot - on one hand it is so different from the others that it looks a bit out of place and yet, on the other hand it could be seen as contrasting well with the others.
I would certainly try to clone out the wires coming down the red wall and looking as though they disappear into the second chimney!
The overall slight softness is probably because you had to shoot through glass although sometimes preparing images to post degrades them and this can be remedied. Willie is the man who can explain this!

Lonely Tree

Lonely TreeI was drawn back to your excellent Malham shot and, after looking at it for a while, I realised the rocks had a slight bluish tint which is not a feature of limestone. I hesitated to do a mod on an experts image, but took the plunge and used "colour balance" in PS7 to reduce the blue content and let some of the warmer colours through. Seems to remove the need for saturation or desaturation -what do you think?

Geoff

PS After posting the mod I tried reducing the "brightness" value slightly, which produced a richer effect.

Tower Bridge

Tower BridgeJust the right moment for a shot like this - enough light in the sky, but dark enough for the lights to show up well - very attractive image.
I might be tempted to crop some off the sides to remove the cranes ( which are looking out of the shot ) to concentrate more on the bridge itself and maybe a touch off the bottom to bring it a bit lower ( Rule of thirds ) Only my thoughts - great shot as it is
HMS Belfast looks very sinister!

Movements

MovementsA nice, clean, fresh image as it is, but if you feel you want to crop it I would crop the right hand side to remove the seagull and a tiny bit off the top to remove those objects in the top left corner ( or clone them out?) This would produce a square format with the water bird balancing the bottom right of the image.

Pele de areia (skin sand)

Pele de areia (skin sand)The lighter areas of sand really do look like skin!
The top third of the image is rather featureless and has a wonky horizon, so I would crop the top third off and concentrate on the lovely textures and tones in the lower two thirds, which are quite delightful. The beaches are obviously not crowded in Brasil!

in the frame

in the frameExcellent work I agree and I think you have been very skilful with your cardboard film cutout!
An alternative crop would be to use the centre "film frame" only, which gives a pleasant head, shoulders and bust option

sunset at browns bay

sunset at browns bayA lovely relaxing picture and a wonderful place to take the dog! I would take about 20% off the left hand side as ther's not much interest just there (mod) and with Martin's tweeks it looks great.

Corner Niche

Corner NicheA very dramatic and interesting shot - Valetta is full of these narrow streets.
Just out of interest I've loaded a mod with the image straightened and lightened, but it's a great shot as it is
