I managed to include some of the features of this old town - the river, prison, railway and part of the castle, but wonder if the dark area under the railway bridge is too strong?

Theres not a whole lot you can do about the area under the bridge, as it is actually black. The questions then becomes the opposite, - is the left side of the shot too light?

BTW, - I like the shot, - its good overall, and I love the inclusion of the two people walking.

The shot can be divided in two, the right, darker side, and the left, lighter side.

Ive loaded a mod where Ive darkened the left a little to try to get it more balanced, and in the process, reduced noise.

Hope this is helpful,

regards

Willie

I think there are two pictures here. The couple walking into the distance or the bridge and its reflection. I find the path overpowering and are attracted to the reflection. I would have framed the bridge and included more of the reflection.

Thanks for your advice and comments. Darkening the left side certainly balances it better and I am intrigued by the idea of two separate pictures - I'm going to try that out! I can see that I will have to take more care with the camera settings, so I have quite a bit to think about ( which I suppose is the purpose of the Critque Gallery!)
