Inspired by the deep, rich colours often to be seen in the marvellous images presented to us by Rende, I was tempted by this scene discovered on an early morning (early for me!) walk along the beach under The Leas at Folkestone recently.

Rende focuses more on details, so this is not in the same league as his images, but he has at least inspired me.

I hope you enjoy my effort.

Thank you for bothering.

Malc

A fine shot Malc.
A bit big a picture for Rende though.
He has a habit of picking out the smaller details !!

I do rather like this, Malc. As Mick says, Rende does tend to concentrate on smaller details, but you are working here with contrasting adjacent tones in a related fashion.
As an aside, we have taken advantage of a fine sunny day today to visit Seahouses, where all the fishing boats were ashore for painting. The sunlight bouncing off wet gloss paint causes awful white stippling that takes ages to clone out BlushBlushBlush Rende works wonders . . .

Regards
Bill

Indeed so, Mick, but the combination of colours reminded me immediately of Rende...his eye for the smaller detail was not in my mind here.

The bike, the (complementary) colours and the precise verticals are a good solid basis. The broom is sublime! And as for the little characters lined up along the wall basking in the sun...
Been waiting for something to catch my eye, this has made my day.

A segment of rainbow colours maybe? Nicely seen, Malc but i'd be a bit worried getting any closer judging by the way that bike is sinking!!

A very well observed, composed, exposed, captured, processed and presented image with both colour and interest Malc.

The low POV somehow enhances this shot, Malc: interesting association of colours and subject matter.
Nicely exposed despite the harsh light and deep shadows.

The colourful beach huts certainly make good photographic subjects Smile Nice light falling on them here, too, and the inclusion of the bike and broom gives the shot extra interest Wink

One thing leads to another, and I think that's often the way it is.
This is very good indeed, Malc. Subtle and meticulous composition.
