The Eastbound platforms in the tunnel of Oslo's Nationaltheatret Stasjon (you may be surprised to learn that in English that is 'the National Theatre Station'..."No, never", I hear you cry).
The rather ancient lighting gives a very dark yellow appearance. It reminded me of the motorway lights in the UK that were orangey yellow when they were first turned on.
In other words, nowt wrong with the white balance here.
A 3-shot bracket combined in Oloneo.
Many thanks for dropping in for a butchers, I will get around (read: find time) to doing some commenting over the next day or so.
Thanks for bothering.
Edit: Many thanks to Jason for his UA...ta muchly mate![]()

Well, it sounds perfectly normal in Norwegian - English just doesn't do for everything. However, isn't there a Piccadily Circus tube station? That sounds kinda strange too; in fact sounds downright silly in norsk
I digress.
Am amazed at the yellow of the lights, it looks downright golden and beautiful. We both know it's not always beautiful down there..........
Like the perspective and the processing. I have to look up Oloneo now..........
Ha det,
Anne Toril
Excellent perspective, excellent detail, and a beautiful golden glow. Cracking image Malc.

Butcher's "hook", rhymes with "look" for those who are not aware of Cockney slang - though where on earth you picked it up I'm not sure Malc![]()

How very appropriately theatrical-looking!

I thought perhaps someone had went to town here Malc
polishing a disused rusty station !!
And you are confused about the motorway lights.
You really mean the orange/yellow glow you saw when
the lamplighter went round to light the gas lamps !!
Super shot.
Mick.
Love the perspective here, with the distant red light as focal point.
Ought to work in b&w too.

Anne (atworner) has indeed done a very respectable b&w mod, Bill...thank you Anne, for that and the more subdued and conservative colour mod.
I considered a b&w version, but felt the colours deserved to be seen.

A cracking shot, Malc, love that strong perspective ![]()

The type of shot I could just walk into Malc, and plant myself on a Seat and watch the World go by. Well, the interesting bits anyway ![]()

Judging by the adverts your white balance is correct, and I was correct in thinking this was HDR. The yellow light looks quite dim, must be difficult to read anything while waiting on your train, maybe the trains in Norway are more punctual? A feeling that you get in most stations, of being outside and inside at the same time if that makes sense.
Dougie
wow, this is fantastic, direct from outer space. and I prefer your original golden version to the aluminium alloy and brass ![]()
You've made a train tunnel look magical... Something from the future.. Great work
Great shot Malc, love the golden effect, was you using the trial Oloneo software for this?
Thanks for your comments on my last upload, very much appreciated ![]()

A terrific image of this underground station, this one is full of atmosphere
I really enjoy all the details of the station and the fact that it's deserted. The lighting adds so much to it as well. Lovely!!
