A very powerful and thought evoking composition which works so very well in monochrome.

Looks like apathy with the b/g characters but empathy with the main subjects, Malc.
A subject matter than works so well in mono and which you have captured in wonderfully emotive lighting.

I might add my sympathy for the main couple, Malc. The two muscle-men are more likely to atrophy before they mend their quarrel Smile
The two pairs are well differentiated by your treatment and careful use of dof. Another contrast that I did not see.

Bill

Dunno about this empathy and apathy stuff Malc.
They look just good pals to me.
As good pals as Colin and Justin from these home designer programmes are !!

You mono treatment suits these perfectly Malcolm. The heaviness of the sky and your processing are spot on.

Again, great minds think alike (or the alternative explanation... ), I have a very similar composition to come some time. You struggled with the same problems as I did here, interesting to see what you have done about them... Wink

A fine conclusion to the set, Malc, and your B&W conversions are beautifully done. The composition here is breathtakingly good, and I'm giving you my UA which is for the series as a whole.

I like the way you have composed this with the two sculptures together.
I had a google for the park and was amazed at the quality and quantity of the sculptures. I liked your title so much that I was trying to find out if they indeed did have titles, as you suggest, but couldn't find a reference.
