Staying in sunny Folkestone for this image.
The Harbour Station connected to the pier, welcoming boat trains from London connecting with ferry services to Calais and Boulogne was last used for regular services in 2001, but continued to be used by the Venice-Simplon Orient Express Co. until 2009.
Today, only the ghosts remain, although anglers can still fish from the pier.
Many thanks for all the comments on Tide's Out...much appreciated.
Apologies to those who commented and voted on this image yesterday, but Jasonwl pointed out a glaring error with the image which I didn't see because of my new glasses acquired the day before! Well, that's my excuse, anyway.
