My neighbour's two dogs, a Border Collie and a Husky.
Lovely creatures.

Edit: v1 appears oversharpened after uploading...wasn't like that beforeSad

Edit#2: Uploaded a less sharpened version of v1 as v3.

After a very hectic few weeks, I have now started 4 weeks holiday and intend to make time to be more ePz active, in addition to painting the wooden railings round the terrace, removing moss from the roof slates (it forms along the edges and eventually splits them if not removed every 4 or 5 years), felling some trees behind the house as they are now firewood size, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary tomorrow, being GE this coming week, meeting certain ePz'ers in York, painting the cellar room white so that I can set up a studio, clearing out the loft as I can't get in there any more because it's full of long-forgotten things...phew! Where did those 4 weeks go?

V1 - composition plus timing, ears, eyes and mouth. Dogs do have very communicative faces. But yes, the sharpening looks a wee bit aggressive.

A very nice set and I love that direct gaze into camera in V 2, Malc: and a slightly condescending look it is too.

Wonderful shots Malc. I'd love to have these if they were my dogs.
V2 reminds me of a Judge passing down a particularly pleasing sentence whereas V1 has the ears!
Smashing. Smile

V3 much better, Malc. "It's been a RUFF day. Speak up, I've only got enough energy to lift one ear."
I like peoples' reference to V2 as being a judge, that expression is precious, almost makes you feel guilty of having performed some misdemeanour, and so symmetrical too.

How much drink do these dogs get daily Tongue they are obviously under the influence of something - certainly gave me a good chuckle.

After 6 months of not being well, surgery etc etc - I have so much to catch up with that I want to take a nap every time I think about it.

May you manage to achieve all your goals Smile

Anne Toril

ETA - I prefer v3 - I've stopped sharpening for upload, for some reason I like a softer look to my images. My eyes hurt when I see razor sharp.............

I didn't notice it in Normal view but yeah, I see what you mean about the sharpening when I viewed it Large. V3 does look more natural, huh?

I tell you what...I just love that pose and look in V1. Very human and VERY Clint Eastwood GrinGrin

Two beautiful doggie portraits you've got here.

Thanks so much for the UA on 'The Return', by the way. Much appreciated Smile

The Huskies eyes are as ever the thing that holds your attention, I'd be worried about moving a muscle with these blue eyes staring at me.

Dougie

V3 for me the softer focus looks better.
