Paris re-visited.

The man on the left was studying a shop window when he was distracted by the noise of the bike coming towards him, the noise of the exhaust magnified by the narrow street and high buildings. Meanwhile, the three jewish gentlemen were having an intense discussion and were totally unaffected by their surroundings, especially the bike. At the same time, the man on the left was more interested (or distracted?) by the bike than by the three men behind him.
The face high up on the building seemed to be laughing at the whole situation.
Taken in narrow side-street in the jewish quarter of Le Marais.

Thanks for bothering.

Malc

A very fine capture, Malc, works well in mono. The lens and the portrait format really shows the tallness of the buildings Wink

PS The Librairie du Temple is at 52, rue des rosiers - if you do an address search in Google maps you can pinpoint the exact spot - it's towards the eastern end of the road.
Cheers,
Moira

It's the face up on the wall that makes this one for me, and the mono conversion. I tend to like mono for street images - probably just some personal quirk Tongue Bergensers have a lot of those.

Like a scene from a movie, where are the three guys going with such purpose. The bystander looks as if alerted by the sheriff riding in at the end of the street. A hint of Serge Leone creeps into the image for me. The smiling man up the wall knows the outcome I'm sure.
