According to the local boy racers, multi-pipe exhausts are the newest 'must have' accessory on their supped-up 15yo vehiclesSmile

This is not an exhaust, so can anyone guess what exactly this is?

A virtual prize to the third correct answerTongue

Hope everyone has survived the transition into the new year. Aspirin washed down with Lidl champagne for those with a hangover.

Does French champagne brought over from France not work?
Happy New Year!

I know them well, I even recognised them in the thumbnail - and I have uploaded them in colour, so I shall keep quiet.
Good one. I never managed a b&w conversion that I was satisfied with of my shot.

Can't be a car
Can't be an organ
Can't be pipes from a factory
So looks like I will have to come back later to find the answer.

It's just after a quarter to three in the afternoon and brain is still not in gear ( and seldom is these days) so I'll need to return later to have my curiosity satisfied, Malc.
But whatever they are, the B and W presentation does seem to work rather nicely.
My thanks to you for your support of my humble efforts over the last year, and with my best wishes to you and your's for and through 2014.

I'm going loco trying to figure out what this is, with steam rising out of my head, my blood is boiling. You've put me under a lot of pressure with York quiz, I can't express my frustration more loudly, I'd be line if I did. I railly must train myself to calm down.

OK...here (courtesy of flickr) is the big picture, as they say..
A locomotive boiler cutaway at the NRM in York.
My image is the yellow pipes on the left.
Many knew the answer, some not.
I have uploaded the original colour version so you can see that the pipes are cleaner than the b&w conversion suggests!
