We went to Paris. It rained. Fortunately not all the time though. We had periods of marvellous sun as well.
The Rue de Lyon as seen in the rain from our hotel balcony.
Many thanks indeed for all the interest and comments on the Père Lachaise set, and especially to Moira (mrswoolybill), Dave (WhiteRose1) and Ann (AnnChown) for their UA's.
Have a great Sunday, whether it be Silly or not.![]()

Wonderful. I suspect a teensy bit of desaturation in the main body of the image, the effect works.
I would get rid of two tiny intrusive details on the left, simply because they distract from the main story.
Moira

V2 cleaned up on the lhs after Moira's suggestion - thank you
And yes, spot-on, I desaturated the main body just a teeny-weeny bit.
Malc
Moira does spot the details Malc, and it does make a nice difference. I hadn't noticed the two little studs of colour until they were pointed out.
Dougie
Natural colour popping, and the wet road lifts the image well. I can see an 'Abbey Road' type crop from the middle as well.
Dave
I am certain you would have preferred the rain to be desaturated - by 100% - but it has served you up a treat photographically.
Composition and content shout "Paris in the Rain" to me - maybe it's the configuration of the junction that is typical, along with the bikes parked against the railings and the scooters parked everywhere. Excellent.
Regards
Bill
Very well timed to capture that multi-coloured brolly, Malc...or did you send the missus out with it?
Looks better in V2 with the left edge tidied up ![]()

LOL Trev. Even God doesn't have that much power when it comes to Mrs. Salty.![]()
Malc
Two excellent wet weather images Malc, I like the limited colour palette. The natural selective colouring has certainly highlighted that colourful brolly as Trev has pointed out already
Lovely composition - I like the reflections of course, but it is that wonderful brolly that steals the show ![]()

You seem to be flying over this surreal scenery, the brolly really pops out.
