Time to get all close-up and personal with "The Sphere"
This crop made me think of the original sputnik, (which was shot into space as long ago as October 1957) because of the rods sticking out of its rear. This version is a tad larger than the original which was a mere 23" diameter. However, i don't think you'd get this one in orbit!
That perfect deep blue sky makes a perfect backdrop, and is straight from the camera, it really was this deep hue of blue.
