Evenin' all.

This is screaming out for a decent b&w conversion, but no matter how I try, I can't achieve one I am happy with.

Please put me out of my misery someone, and upload a bloomin' good b&w mod before I go crazy. I can't seem to get the 'noose' to stand out enough from the bg yet still have the far noose noticeable.

*sighs deeply, gives up and says hello to a famous game bird, but I'm not grousing.Wink*

Many thanks for all your recent comments. I am indebted. (and to the bank, but that's another story...)

I see a nose: Kilroy woz 'ere. Of course. With Kilroy Two lurking in the background.
A remarkable piece of observation, Malc. Lovely shallow dof etc.
'erself is trying a mono at this moment so I'll shut up.

Gone for a grungy feel on a mod, Malc, pushed lots of buttons, presets and sliders and came up with something which isn't as good as your colour... but it was better than watching England lose a T20 against New Zealand GrinGrinGrin

The mods are all great. I'm not at my computer right now but I would have gone for a colour popped version (no surprises there then)!

This is difficult, and not least a tad frustrating.
So far, I think Moira and Diane (Fefe) have come up with the best mods, however none of them replicate the impact of the colour original. I think this one may be destined to remain coloured. Hey, ho...can't win them all. I could have sworn this could be a real belter of a b&w.

Many thanks for all the input folks.

A well seen image, Malc - I can look at something, yet not really see it (if you know what I mean!) Wink
As regards mono conversions, adding / subtracting red / green / blue can produce endless results, and I can never decide which setting looks best! Sad
