Thanks for the interest in yesterday's Silly Sunday upload I have posted the disappointingly mundane explanation on that upload if you want to be bothered seeing what it was.

Taken on the same day, just over the way at Oslo Central Station.

Lots of people, all with so little time. At the same time, a couple who seem to have time on their hands.

Taken as a quick grab, handheld.
See exif for the tech stuff. I prefer the mono version, but have included the original as well.
Enjoying this gorgeous sun and temps. over 20c... that's really good for here at this time of the year.

Like both versions. Mono if I want action, and colour if I want to window shop...........Sandy

I'll stick to the mono version as my window shopping is strictly limited to camera shops and musical instrument retailers Smile
Specially good this one, Malc, hand-held at 1/6th second is quite a feat. I'm extremely fond of such motion blur and this is a particularly fine example. I'm sure Mick B will note the shapely non-moving leg in the centre of the image and ask to see the rest un-blurred, though.
Rather than the couple with time on their hands, I'd be worried about the bloke behind the pillar on the left!

Regards
Bill

V1 seems so much more detached, we're standing still while the world flies by.
And that phenomenon I've noticed before in extreme motion blur images - the feet are always the sharpest bit.

V1 for me Malc, love the motion blur and in mono it seems so much more mysterious. Can't wait to see more images of Oslo building, a thing of beauty for sure!

V1 for me - reminds me of frantic NYC life which I hated! Too much rushing! You really captured the pace, Malc.

(I'm mulling over your suggestion about meeting up so we can forget twice as much. My concern is that the forgetting would be exponential and we'd be forgetting four times as much - is that right? I was never good at math!)

'Great sense of human movement & artistic composition, here, on this excellent monochrome image,' Malc. Good show!

(PS: the v2 color is nice & vivid,...but the v1 mono has better photographic impact)

Ciao...Pietro Wink

This is excellent photography - the sort I always make a complete hash of - I love the mono - it has such depth - and it such good fun to pick out the movement and the still bits - I have spent far too long on this image Malc but it fascinates me.
