Hi all,

Today's upload is of a blue tit at the feeding station. I have had to completely remodel the feeding station again due to the squirrels. Has anyone got any techniques for stopping the squirrels getting onto feeders that doesn't harm the squirrels? Please leave any answers in your comment.

Sam.

As good a Bluey, that I have seen this evening Sam

Re the Greys - Squirrel busters mate - not cheap, but very effective.

Don't know what size feeders you are using, but if by chance you are using one of the RSPB type three port ones, the two port Squirrel buster can be adapted to suit

More than saved my outlay on seed costs

Check out the RSPB shop on-line for prices etc;

Some folks add various substances to the seed, that the squirrels don't like, but I am yet to be convinced

If you need any info etc; please PM me
More than willing to help

Adrian

Lovely photo Sam, great work.

If you are feeding peanuts and bird food Costco do a squirrel proof feeder for a boy 16.00. I have a fees and they are very good.

Lovely capture!

Squirrels!! They get into whatever you put up eventually! Sad Give them their own food feeder.

A fine shot Sam and some good advice from my Uncle the Tomcat. Those squirrel busters work well, they have some of them at Slimbridge and they are highly effective at preventing the squirrels despite them doing their best to get into them!
