Following a recent family wedding I took this shot of my daughter in her bridesmaid dress using natural light on the right with a fill-in on the left.
It's a lovely shot with the only disappointment being the headdress has been cut off.

Super shot. I agree about the headdress, and perhaps her elbows ?? but the thumbnail still caught my eye and I think it is a beautiful image. Well done!
Thanks for your commnents. Unfortunately if I changed the camera angle any further back to get the whole headress I ran out of dress (which was spread out on the floor) and met carpet, any higher she looked like she was falling over backwards in order to meet the camera. Can't have it all !!....Sarah
I think this is just fine as it is. I love the angle and your daughter's expression and the composition as a whole. It's a great portrait and has the natural 'unposed' look that I love.
