A fine job Andy.
I'm going to nitpick a bit and say that I think the colour of her dress clashes with the red of the poppies ...... maybe she'd be better garbed in dark blue? That apart it's really well put together and the background is gorgeous.
Very clever, nice creation.
Fabulous piece of work
Superb manipulation yet again!!
you really have got the creative juices working full time at the moment
The tortue of chalk dust collects on my tongue.

I have to disagree and think that it provides a perfect balance that the poppies pick up on the red of the dress, without that colour the picture would be very dark.
I think that the gothic effect could have been applied with a lighter more subtle touch as your light / dark balance is off in the bottom right of the picture.
Also I think your scale was a little off with the dove which should have been a touch bigger.
Your title is a little confusing. How I read this picture is that there is sadness / death / danger - red dress + red poppies = drops of blood. Crows swirling around castle = death. And yet there is a ray of light (hope) and the dove (peace) which she is reaching out to. Doves don't sing so I don't understand where the birdsong part comes in.
Just my 5c worth.
Most interesting and great photoshop work. Nice!
