I'm afraid this doesn't work for me. ![]()
The crop's too tight, horizontally at least, which makes the group of birds feel cramped. The three main birds (maybe clone out that fourth head?) need to be fully in frame and, since they're evenly spaced, the gap between the outer birds and the edge of the frame should be somewhere between a half and the whole of the gap between the birds themselves. I also think your viewpoint is too high. Since the pigeons have their backs to us, we feel invited to follow their gaze but we can't because we can't see very far in front of them.
You have a big white-balance problem, which has given a very strong blue cast to the pigeons and the rock. The camera has seen the strong orange sunset light and has tried to correct for it by adding blue. Whenever the colour of the light you're shooting in is an integral part of the shot (for example, at sunset), you should manually choose daylight white balance to stop the camera 'correcting' away the very colour of light that drew you to take the shot in the first place. I've posted a mod with the white balance corrected.
I'm sorry to be so negative in this case but I hope the comments were useful.
Thank you for the good advice! I admit I am not as well versed on doing some of the corrective things that you mentioned, but I do understand the reasons why they should be done. I will try to remember to compensate for white-balance in the future.
Thanks again!
