Loch Tummel Reflections
Lovely tones and either version is good, but I know you like crit, so, ...Taking a couple of steps forward and standing on something to get more hight while aiming the camera down would have helped , .. if possible. The reason I say this is, the reflection is superb but the rocks and reflection cut each other and you have lost the top of the trees to the beach. Either that or finding some different rocks would allow the different elements of the shot to complement rather than collide.
Right that's my tuppence worth. Still a lovely shot though.
See ya

Surprise view
Ok, ... Since you ask !!! It is actually a very neary excellent shot. But, ... Not nearly sharp enough!!! There is a dark blue semi-circle in the sky!!! The darks are just too dark but the clouds are blown out. ( forget HDR and just use an N.D. Grad to get it right in-camera. Also turn down the contrast in-camera). Finally, ... The composition is a bit unbalanced. All the interest on the right. A few steps forward and the dead tree would have been on the left of the mountain and balanced the composition better.
All that said, ... It really is quite good and with just a few small tweeks could be excellent.
Hope you are not bummed out. We all learn from each other!!
All the best
Scotty
