Hi, I appreciate your dedication and I hope that the Canon forgave your sea water adventure.
The picture offers the feeling of being there, on the seashore, in the water. (go on Niknut, dive).
We can congratulate Leah for her beauty and you for your daring approach to the theme. I feel though. that her face deserved more light on to it. Despite having eye contact with the viewer, I don't think the impact is achieved, especially when contrasted with that bright background.
Mind you, I can't see very well , lol.

I prefer to not use reflectors or lights. They not only slow down the shoot, but they often screw up an otherwise good photo. I could adjust the shadow on her face, but I did not find it necessary for this photo. I do admit though, I am no expert, when it comes to Photoshop decisions. I often make amateur mistakes in this regard. Maybe it is my level of immaturity, or maybe it is my free-thinking attitude, but I sometimes like to adjust shadows, and sometimes I do not. In this case, I never even thought of doing it. I love the photo as is, and so does she, apparently, since she uses it in her portfolio (or maybe one very similar to it - I shot many like it in that moment).

Yes, the Canon forgave me. I did wear it out though (hopefully I will eventually fix the mirror - something I should have done long ago, but now I shoot with a Sony A55).
