...a trip to the Moor yesterday eventually. I found that the roads were much better out of town, the gritters had done their work and you could see the black stuff all the way North. -11.5 degrees in Crianlarich en route.

The hot soup was wonderfull Marie, a duvet in the back of the car on your own is no fun.

A beautiful image. My goodness but it looks cold and I think you have conveyed that well by including the frosted vegetation in the foreground.

No dafties yet walking out on the ice but the weekend will bring them no doubt.

superb wintry picture - I am looking thro all my folders for a landscape image I can submit for a competition locally and all or most of my shots are birds, hubs keeps telling me he sees any I choose as trees or buildings and I am getting desperate.

There's a lovely balance between smooth drifting snow and the textures in the foreground. Love those blue shadows.

Absolutely beautiful viewed LARGE. Superb light.
Well done to get up there, roads in West sound reasonable, wouldn't attempt it from the East at moment.

If eve a picture portrayed winter this is the one Dougie. A fantastic capture with the snow looking cold and white.

The Police have been hammering on about not going out, seems they did a great job, when I was up there only trucks were passing with only the occasional car.

Thanks for showing us what Rannoch moor has been like recently Dougie. I'm glad you found the journey fairly trouble free.
