Gorgeous crunchy textures, enhanced by those blue shadows. I was walking home in the late sun the other day and noticed that the shadows in the snow were everything from turquoise through blue to purple.

Love the frozen grasses protruding - gives a great textural feel to the image Dougie. Nicely exposed!

The contrast of the delicate frozen reeds with the massiveness of the mountain range and the vast expanse of snow is what strikes me most, I think.

Another crisp and clean day on the Moor beautifully captured Dougie. I really hope these conditions persist into the Christmas holiday so that I get the chance to visit places like this.

Malc the ice didn't cover the whole loch, I could SEE water in places, I wasn't guessing. Deer had managed to get to the water.

I venture across Haggs Rd. for my winter shots whilst you head all that way North, Dougie: but how worth your trips prove to be....another super winter shot from the Moor.
