For George White for his correctness and Rich Nicholls for his insestence in drawing my attention to raw files. My thanks to 2 good pals I have not as yet met in the flesh.
All the best to them both,
I was trying to remember how to edit the details as I have gaffed in spelling. Bolloks...
I thought for a minue that it was one of the Pyramids from the thumbnail! How wrong can you be? This scene is far more interesting and the larger version is so detailed.
One of my favrite mountains both to look at and to climb.
Wonderful composition, Dougie. Great detail to be seen in the large version.
makes you want to be there.
thats the beauty of good photography
Lovely shot. Excellent comp, love the way the mountain just stands out, fantastic.
It's been a week and a half since I was last up there Dougie and seeing this makes me want to go back.
All the best, Paul
really like this shot beautiful image with great lighting the mountain really draws you in.
Good shot Dougie.. Big imposing mountain, nice composition.. Mayabe boost the contrast a fraction? Just a thought..
Ps This looks like Buachaille, is Stob Dearg the same mountain?
Nice shot. I was here looking for a similar shot recently but I could not find it. I can see from this image where I went wrong. I was at the wrong side of the road. I haven't taken any in RAW format yet as I tend to take that many however you have inspired me to give it a try.
This is a very good shot.
Beautiful exposure, great detail in the mountain.
Beautifully done. Stunning
Wonderful shot Dougie - the clarity is excellent and much better than when I was there the other week. It's a great spot isn't it - I got right down to the waters edge for my shot and set the tripod up in the water.....Doug (Highlander) stood IN the water in his wellies.....I was laughing until he just strode across the river on the way back to the cars.
We'll have to hook up soon, Tracey and I are planning to come back to Scotland in late April or early May before the Midges strike.
