...I first saw this view shot by the legendary Les Ellingham, he seemed to have been everywhere in Scotland. So this shot is for him, Cheers Les you helped me greatly in my undesrstanding of landscape photography.
The white house is quite new here, but works as an anchor on the right of the image.

Around 130mm on the lens.

A great shot!
The white house plays an even more important role ,...... it adds scale, highlighting the great size of the mountains

It is indeed a lovely image, Dougie, and you have captured it so well. I also agree with your comment re. the white house, but also with 'Mudge's' in that is gives a sense of scale to the whole scene. The trees against the white mountain backdrop contrast but balance so well with the white house below the darker mountainside. Better stop prattling on!
Regards, Ronnie.

Exquisite Dougie. The conditions were favourable but you had to compose the image and this is where the skill and seeing eye come in handy.

An excellent composition, the house gives a hint of the scale these mountains are - huge, threatening sometimes, but always beautiful!

Btw. have you ever seen this image by Les Ellingham? Funny, isn't it?
