...the sun begins to set high on the cliffs above Loch Scavaig, looking towards Camasunary, from near Elgol,Skye.
Love the lighting, nice shot, wish i'd had this weather last september on Sky
Lovely coastal scene which you have captured very well indeed. The light is superb.
Great photo with excellent colours.
Beautiful well composed image Dougie - fabulous viewed large !
Beautiful light on a wonderful landscape.
A beautiful shot, Dougie. How well the warm f/g balances with the cloudy cooler tones of Cuillins, but with the wee extra bit of warmth in the sky above. And the little boat just adds that little extra touch.
Lovely work as always. I always feel your shots make my offerings seem so prosaic by comparison.
It works well with the bigger lens Dougie. This image has a lovely warmth to it.
I like this a great deal Dougie!
Seriously lovely light
Love it, love it, love it ! The thumbnail told me who's it was, & I wasn't disappointed......great atmosphere, & the colour contrasts are gorgeous....faultless shot Dougie ! May 1991 last time I stood on that very spot, I remember it well....
If I had an award Dougie this would be getting it...stunning image of a place I love. It's got light, colour and a view to sit and soak up by the bucket load! Blaven dominates even with that cloud surrounding it and love the white house at the foot of it. I can just make out the shape of the bothy in the shadows on the left side of the beach... great memory for me my friend - thank you.
Something a bit different from Elgol, nice one Dougie.
Excellent light and tones in this, well worth viewing large of those rock details. Well worked Dougie.
beautiful light and clouds, lovely composed, too.
Brilliant, Dougie. It's not often that you get to see the coastline just beyond the school featured as prominently as this, but given the light it would have been criminal not to do so. And yet it doesn't undermine the impact of the distant landscape. Your use of the little boat as a "full stop" at the bottom left corner of the frame is inspired. A superb shot.
Richard,,many thanks for your user award, I've only just noticed, very kind.
Wonderful light and atmosphere Dougie.
