...another from this spot I thought this one deserved an airing as well. I think the person who placed the boulders in the water was a photographer or an artist, such beautiful precision.
Good morning Dougie,
The moment I opened your pf you have been uploading. Good that I returned to the main gallery!
Wonderful, clear image of Ardvreck, from a non standard spot - luvely!
Beautiful sky, superb light and a grand composition!
Have a good day,
Superb shot great exposure
Lovely tones detail light and composition.
Excellent composition with the stones leading to the tower.
Go on Dougie, tell the truth. You spent ages placing those stones didn't you?
This is a wee smasher pal.
wonderful image, well composed peaceful sky, bet it took a while arranging them rocks
Like stepping stones they lead to the castle Doug. Well composed, a difficult subject just one tower. A feel for the location. Ron.
Kin did it and ran away, Honest.
Looks a very photogenic place Doug, I'm planning my Easter trip to Scotland at the minute, I need to draw up a list?
Assynt is a photographers paradise given decent weather John.
Excellent composition here Dougie, lovely use of shapes!
Another lovely piece of work and those rocks really do add that finishing touch to the scene.
The sweeping curve of the shore, those stones leading in towards the castle, the little spit of land projecting into the water further round, the castle itself, and of course the colour - all play second fiddle to the superb rippled reflection which for me is the glory of this image.
Lovely composition Dougie, like those curves and the stonework in the old tower. The stones in the water seen to have positioned by size as well, maybe to create the illusion of perspective or are they just natural
You mean you didn't place those rocks yourself! Excellent composition makes the image a real pleasure to view
Someone has certainly been very thoughtful in placing the stones! The Almighty as Artist?
Must have liked the ides so much he did it again at Millarochy Bay at Loch Lomond.
Lines, curves and ripples. Excellent.
Fab Doug, great composition, well done.
Excellent shot Dougie, I sort of recognise that castle
Beautiful as usual Doug.
Stunning Dougie, nothing else to say.
Yes, those must have been placed. I like that light. LOL - And what is that blue stuff in the sky? I might have to go there to see what it is like!
Saw some today down the coast, Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway but not a lot. The path has just been rebuilt and I'm sure somebody had some fun, see how many mugs see them?
Can't add anything to what's been said but I will agree with stunning composition.
Great light Doug, like the sweep of the shore
Happty to make it the half-century!
this is of course very good and its as though I was standing there ( but then I was ) it has such clarity, a lovely freshness about it Dougie.
all the very best to you,
A lovely composition Dougie, especially th eway the rocks lead you in. Stunning clarity too!
Nice Dougie. Always dull when I am here.
Great lead in with the stones. The light is just wonderful ...... do you take it with you? Lol! Beautiful composition Dougie.
so so so so so so so want to be up there right now
This really catches the eye with its fascinating sweep Dougie. Really nice composition.
You have done it again, Dougie, you have made me want to be somewhere other than where I am.
