...the last of the sun was shining over the shoulder of Ben Stack, and down across the Loch here. The colours lifted with the sunlight and I got a few frames before it faded again.

A great sight, I like the paralellity between the reed and the precipice off the mountain

You got me huming once again a Runrig song... though it is called The Summerwalkers, it is the song for this picture:
And it's up by the Shin,
And up by the Naver
And the long winding shores of Loch Maree,
By Ben Hope and Ben Loyal,
By Stack and by Arcle
The road reaches long now the Summer is here...

Have a good day,
Jo

The light isn't particularly stunning on this, but the composition/crop is really well thought out, with the nice diagonal of grasses leading to the boat shed making a a good counterpoint to the mountain. This is probably best seen as a large panoramic print.

All the best,

Pete

Nicely done Dougie. Like the stark, barren greyness of the mountain contrasting with the blues and greens of the foreground.

Those reeds in the water are magic, and somehow they echo the line of scree on the mountain side. Plus there's a cold almost lilac tone in the blues that I find very atmospheric.

A real primeval feeling to the hills up here. I can still remember the feeling of awe on my first trip to the far north west. Well composed as always.

a lovely tone throughout Dougie, I like your capture of the reeds to the foreground in this majestic scene. Arkle in the background unmistakable in whatever light a person may find it.

Yours,
Kin
