...the morning light was shining on the stones as we arrived, but not for long, just a few minutes of golden light and back to dark sky's again. But long enough.
Beautifully togged as usual, with excellent light and a very good composition too.
Well composed, looks great viewed large.
Great work Dougie, love the effect it really adds to the drama. Love the light.
Great shot version 2 for me
Lovely capture,composition,and light. No2 best.
magical light and long shadows all the ingrediants of early light on this special place Dougie, well composed too I like the subtle differences in the variations.
All the best,
Cheers Pal, what's it like your way, the sun has come out here and I fancy getting out.
hi Dougie I may have a jaunt later but I'm easy one way or the other as its a long way to the snow. I'll have to think about going soon if at all and the light aint that good at the moment but as we all know that can change in an instant.
Like both of these Dougie, The dark sky really makes the stones stand out .
Lovely light on the stones, good against the dark sky.
The light brings out the texture of these majestic stones beautifully Dougie.
Really dramatic and awesome
Nice colours Dougie but prefer V2
Really looks like you had a worthwhile visit to Lewis , this is another stunner from your trip Dougie and lovely to see some different landscape shots from you
Always glad to see you grabbing the defining moment with the light - it's changing by the minute even in this relatively southern zone! I have a vague preference for #1 but would happily display either!
You just can't go wrong with either one of these,
Dougie, as they are both beautiful shots, that being said, I prefer 2.
This just shows a difference what minor adjustment can make to an image Dougie. Excellent.
Beautiful composition/crop first of all. I think I go for #1 for the more subdued tones.
Superb light on hte stones, I prefer #1, but both are great
I like #2 the best, but by a smidgeon, where are the Druids?
Wonderful scene again Dougie.
I was one of them Neil.
Stunning shot Doug...the light and dof is superb...Just love it...
Thanks for all the great comments Don, and a special thanks for your own award.
Light and sky are perfect for this location. Tremendous scene,
Stunning shot with absolutely superb light.
The large version has to be viewed to be appreciated. Beautifully captured light, Dougie, however brief.
Great use of light.
Wonderfully mystical light Dougie, a real gem this one
Got the light spot on here Dougie!
Super as usual Doug.
I'll go for #1. What great light!
It sure was Patrick we were so over the Moon when it happened for us.
this is stunning, wish i could get shots this good. well done do prefer #2 but both brilliant
Fabulous light and brooding sky on these shots Doug.
