...some beautiful light greeted us on the first day of our journey, this was before we sailed for Stornoway. We had a few hours to burn some light in Assynt. Virtualy straight out the camera, a touch of curves and a sharpen.

Knowing that you are an early bird - it is always the first thing when I switch on the computer to have a look at your site. Bonnie Scotland as an appetizer for the day.
And, like every morning it works today, too. Great scene, the image reminds me of the cool, fresh mornings with clouds, wind and sunshine which I love so much.
Thank you for a great "fresh" image.
Johanna

The wee road through these hills to Achiltibuie is a gem. Lovely light on the foreground with a sense of brooding mountains in the background.

"Large + F11" is my automatic reaction when I reach your images, Dougie. There is always so much detail that even a minor reduction in scale leads to something going astray. I have zoomed the screen to +150% and critical sharpness is still present in the f/g. What a superb capture!

It really is stunning scenery up there, and this captures it very nicely indeed. I like how the composition works in layers, with the foreground, middle distance and the distant mountains working as horizontal lines across the frame. Beautiful lighting too!

All the best.

Excellent Dougie, These are the rocks where I took a very nasty fall in the spring when there was still ice about. I like the way Stac pollaidh is just sneaking around the right hand side.
