The title sounds like "just stones" or "pebbles on the beach" - large they show what the really are: "these stones!"

Superb detail, Dougie. I like the diffent angle on the stones, too; they look as if they're having a secret pow-wow.

Excellent textures on the rocks Dougie, also well exposed, good balance between the stones and sky. Rgds Ollie

Strange texture on the rocks Dougie, never really seen them that close. They certainly make good models, sit still when lold to do so.

Yes you have brought out the best in them Dougie. How the ravages of time have taken the toll.

I wonder what they originally looked like, were the evenly cut stone or more the way they are now.?

There's a very mysterious atmosphere here, we seem to be intruding on a secret place. Great detail, and composition.

Super shot Dougie, just like knarled tree trunks.
I was staying about 15miles from the stones and visited on a couple of occasions but not often enough get a feel for the place, love to go back again some day.

Nice job, Dougie, in bringing out the detail in these stones. I like the way they seem to be facing inward towards the center, almost like they are closing in on something. I don't know if I would want to be here at night.
