...manipulated to bring out the detail in the stones at Callanish, in The Western Isles.
***best viewed large***
Nice shot Doug, like you say they do look Brill in large, well done.
I love this shot - got a great feeling of ancient britain - jude.
Excellent shot great composition
Detail extracted from this famous location. Good shot Doug. Ron.
A subtle manipulation, great details and composition
The title sounds like "just stones" or "pebbles on the beach" - large they show what the really are: "these stones!"
Excellent detail Doug.All the best.
Excellent detail when viewed large...
Cracking work as always Dougie!
Stunning detail, well caught. Nice bit of very subtle manipulation too.
Plenty detail there, Dougie. Quite a surreal landscape.
Superb detail, Dougie. I like the diffent angle on the stones, too; they look as if they're having a secret pow-wow.
Excellent textures on the rocks Dougie, also well exposed, good balance between the stones and sky. Rgds Ollie
Strange texture on the rocks Dougie, never really seen them that close. They certainly make good models, sit still when lold to do so.
Yes you have brought out the best in them Dougie. How the ravages of time have taken the toll.
I wonder what they originally looked like, were the evenly cut stone or more the way they are now.?
Plenty of fine detail in the stones and I like the composition of the image as well.
There's a very mysterious atmosphere here, we seem to be intruding on a secret place. Great detail, and composition.
this is a belter of a composition Dougie and with very good textures to the stones
You have brought out the texture well Dougie. Must get here.
Great texture and details Doug
Super shot Dougie, just like knarled tree trunks.
I was staying about 15miles from the stones and visited on a couple of occasions but not often enough get a feel for the place, love to go back again some day.
Great ancient feel
Nice job, Dougie, in bringing out the detail in these stones. I like the way they seem to be facing inward towards the center, almost like they are closing in on something. I don't know if I would want to be here at night.
