...stands at the entrance to the road to Achmelvich and the Summer Isles. This road has become wider and better surfaced in the last couple of years as many more tourists and walkers come to Scotland. I hope that it never becomes just another road in the Highlands.

The clouds are reflected in the still waters of Loch Lurgainn.

A stunner Dougie, the road situation, like my journies up to Durness the road was always a pleasure to meander through, never a place to hurry.

I remember an old fisherman telling me how he was often asked the gealic word for things and his favourite answer was the one for tomorrow, " Well" he would say in his west coast dialect"there is not a word in the language that has such urgency to it"

Cheers for now

I think the composition couldn't be bettered. It looks like you had a difficult, contrasty exposure to deal with, but it works beautifully, adding plenty of drama to the shot. I particularly like the cloud reflection in the loch. Mean, moody and magnificent work, Dougie.

The ripples were caused by a party of anglers who passed on the far side of the Loch a few minutes earkier. Cheers Peter.

Pete, I'm getting too old for this hunkering down for ages as the light decides what to do.

Thanks to all for the kind comments

Wow ! Dougie !. This is a corker of an image. Unbelievable sky reflections in the water and a cracking composition.
