...the sun was shining through the smallest of gaps in the leaden sky, it always seemed to be a couple of miles ahead of me, so on I drove North.
This was taken back in January 2005
A real feeling of desolation hangs over this area and the heavy skies enhance it! Thanks goodness for the snow and the little chinks of sun which put life into it! Greay moody scene, very Scottish!
For a long time I have not been the first to comment on your picture. I hoped for today, but... Well, makes it easier for me - Marie just said, what I would have said had I been first.
From a longing heart the kindest regards,
A great start of the day, watching your great Scottish views
Lovely light on the Buachaille. Nice to see a different vantage point on this icon.
A stunning winter scene Doug.Lovely image again.
A cracking image best viewed large. You don't say when it was taken, surely not recently.
Same as yesterdays Jan 2005.
Magnificent, Dougie. There's a tiny patch of gold in the very foreground that points up the coldness of the snow on the mountain.
Tiny patch of light making the rest of the scene seem even more bleak. Magnificent, icy cold image, enough to freeze the marrow in your bones.
This really is a beaty, love the light and composition.
Like this a lot specialy the light on those mountains
Excellent shot,and view.
Looks so cold. Nice fg detail Doug to start your journey through the shot. John
I would have a different description to Mrs Woolybill but it still looks very cold. An excellent image Dougie.
Like the lighting on the hills side - certain looks a bleak place when its winter.
The light on the mountain alone is worth the RC - so there you go!
Won't be long Dougie, the summer rain will leave us and the snow will arrive
Couple of weeks leave coming up so we might get some new photos.
Beautiful view with great light on the mountain!
