...the Sun doesn't always shine down on this Glen, sometimes it looks like this, happily not all the time. Taken the last Friday of April 2008.
Looks like the weather has sucked the colours away, moody capture
Still looks beautiful despite the conditions.
Works well as a mono Dougie - certainly get the feeling of bleakness when the weather is like this.
I don't think I've ever seen the sun shine here, this is how I remember it, cold and bleak and intimidating. Excellent shot, one of your best.
Bleak moor, gaunt mountain but still magnificent; one of the great sights. The scarce light has picket out the snow on the peak and caught the oblique, near-hidden face to perfection.
Mono landscapes are rare these days, but this one is a belter.
I fully expected this to bomb at this holiday time, many thanks for all the kind comments, I'm well pleased.
Nice composition, Douglas. Typifies Glencoe for much of the time.
A good conversion Dougie and it's strange why mono landscapes do less well than their coloured cousins.
Looks a little wet there Dougie..Superb view and work so well in B/W
Works well as a mono great shot
Still looks very impressive. Well taken. John
Here we are again back to the tearful history of the McDonalds...
Great moody sky,
Such great atmosphere and drama
well deserved 30th
Works a treat in mono, like this a lot.
