...one of the many old boats left to rot around the coast and Lochs of Mull. Not the most environmentally friendly thing to do but they make good images I feel.
Lovely detail Doug. At least they are objects of interest and not likely to impact on the environment. John
Wonderfully clear image on a cloudy morning - great compoisitio and lovely tones in this picture.
Hope you are well,
Great composition and colour.
Fit as a flea Johanna, Thanks for asking.
Beautufully composed Doug.A gem.
On my first nervous night at Musselburgh camera club this boat, from a different angle and in different light, from a man whose work I went on to admire highly, was projected as a slide. As a relative newcomer to photography I was 'blown away'.
In other words, another very fine Scottish landscape from Mr Salteri, putting the new [ish] toy to excellent use.
You're right about these old boats making lovely images, Dougie. And you've proved your point here
yep, we'd be lost without these old boats to add to a scene, sometimes think it would be handy to have one on a trailer to cart around and drop into any scene, all you'd need is a can of spray paint and you could change it at will
looks remarkably like one at Heswall Doug that I've got a shot or two of. The scenery here is a little more spectacular though.
The boats are indeed perfect for photographers. Long may they be there too. You seem to have had a great week up there from what I have seen while catching up through your gallery, Dougie.
Cheers Jeanie, we made the best of a patchy weather front which followed us from Ardnamurchan to Mull.
fantastic scenic shot, like it a lot
Well-balanced image with beautiful tones, Dougie. The boat should not harm the environment as it decays, I doubt it contains many CFCs!
This is a kind of picture I like very much
Looks as though it could collapse any minute. It adds a focal point, and it echoes the dark steely blue tones of the sky and water.
Love old boats, your right they make great subject matter and you have found a great one here and captured it experty.
We do love these derelictboatsDoug. I suppose it because they look a bit like our age.
Like the details and tones in this Dougie - real feel of a grey day with this one.
Well composed image in what looks like characteristic island weather.
Superb mate, love it.
I like it a lot, great image.
Delicate and fine shot.
I just love these old vessels they do eventually pretty much rot to nothing and make homes for all sorts of wee sleiket beasties
Just love the light the way it touches the boat. Wonderful shot Dougie.
Love the moody atmosphere here Dougie!
I always think it sad to see neglected boats. Once they were someone's pride and joy. Great shot though.
Great subject and looks like one you could keep returning to.
Great subject matter - perfectly composed with excellent natural colours,
