...one of the many old boats left to rot around the coast and Lochs of Mull. Not the most environmentally friendly thing to do but they make good images I feel.

Lovely detail Doug. At least they are objects of interest and not likely to impact on the environment. John

On my first nervous night at Musselburgh camera club this boat, from a different angle and in different light, from a man whose work I went on to admire highly, was projected as a slide. As a relative newcomer to photography I was 'blown away'.
In other words, another very fine Scottish landscape from Mr Salteri, putting the new [ish] toy to excellent use.

yep, we'd be lost without these old boats to add to a scene, sometimes think it would be handy to have one on a trailer to cart around and drop into any scene, all you'd need is a can of spray paint and you could change it at willSmileSmile

looks remarkably like one at Heswall Doug that I've got a shot or two of. The scenery here is a little more spectacular though.

The boats are indeed perfect for photographers. Long may they be there too. You seem to have had a great week up there from what I have seen while catching up through your gallery, Dougie.

Cheers Jeanie, we made the best of a patchy weather front which followed us from Ardnamurchan to Mull.

Well-balanced image with beautiful tones, Dougie. The boat should not harm the environment as it decays, I doubt it contains many CFCs!

Looks as though it could collapse any minute. It adds a focal point, and it echoes the dark steely blue tones of the sky and water.

I always think it sad to see neglected boats. Once they were someone's pride and joy. Great shot though.
