...at Iona Abbey in the Island of Iona. One of the worlds most sacred places, people travel from all over the globe to this remote island off The Island of Mull on the west coast of Scotland.
Great title, would like to visit there sometime also.Excellent .
Very nice, good lead in line with the path,
Splendid isolation, I think.
Just been catching up with you lovely images !This one is full of interest, love the angle , path and the "all weathers "sky . Gill
That path set in the grass has been worn down by so many feet. Moving, involving image.
Love the title and good comp in this Dougie, good colours and details too.
Many years since I visited here, Dougie: and isn't situated in such a glorious location.
Lovely shot with good lead in lines, your composition as always top notch.
Such a lovely almost overgrown path
I'd love to go there having read the historical novels of Nigel Tranter and being aware of its significance to your country. V. well composed and processed - but then it would be, wouldn't it.
First class composition.
Beautifully composed and so interesting to see............Sandy
I always fancied a visit to the Isle of Mull - what a superb take Dougie
well composed shot with nice and natural looking colours.
have a good weekend Dougie
Beautiful colour and light Dougie. A really beautiful spot expertly photographed.
I like this Dougie. Top composition and lovely light. timely, too, as I'm off to Mull in a handful of weeks and will be visiting Iona while we're there.
Great composition n exposure Dougie
Awwww, it is more than five years since I was there. Longing to go back to this jewel near Mull. Thanks for bringing up these great memories.
Hope you're doing well,
Beautiful capture....I love the colours of the path matching the stone of the Abbey. The island has a special feeling. It's a gorgeous area on a summer's day but the last time I was there it was raining so heavily that you could hardly lift your head to see the Abbey....and the ferry ride back took 45 minutes ... scary!!!!
