...further round the Lochan the reeds were picked out by the sunlight. The warm colours hide the icy wind that was blowing across the moor.

Great composition Dougie...love the way the grass takes you around and into the image....has a freshness about it. A place I hope to see in January.

Beautiful light and shadow Dougie. It still looks like a cold day to me but then, I am used to the Highland weather. There's a hint of blue sky in Inverness this morning - I might venture out after the cornflakes.

The sunshine and winter colours are an excellent combination, then add in the locale and you have a sure fire winner, Dougie. Beautiful Moorland landscape.

Yes, there are these warm colours of autumn, but the air is very clear, that means it must have been cold! Another beautiful capture of this wee Lochan, the Mounts are ready to greet the snow as it seems.

I love the cloud-shadows scudding across the fellside, while the beautiful light makes me soooo envious on this grey day.

Don't know how you've managed to find so much blue sky this year Dougie, but what you have found has given you the opportunity to remind us just how beautiful Scotland is. Keep them coming.

Warm colours, Dougie, but the snow on the distant top tells another story as to the general temperature. Excellent colour in those reeds reaching out of the water.

Great shot !....prefer this version to the first one, with that lovely F/G creating lots of 'depth' out to the distant hills...1st class !
