...a dull start to a day on the Rannoch Moor. The sun has risen before the clouds decided to part and show some light on Lochan na h'Achlaise, Scotland. The breeze was sending little ripples across the cold water's surface.

I have a version shot at 1/10th of a second @ 22 and most of the reeds are still sharp.

Lovely shot. I always think Rannoch Moor is such a spooky splace in the grey days. Moira

Changing of seasons soon Dougie. There is a rumour that another tree will be planted on the island, so to cope with photographers withdrawal symptomsWink. Ron.

Well composed and exposed, Dougie m8. It's a special spot and that's for sure.

the reeds in the f/g are almost abstract, a great shot - looking calm and tranquil

I can imagine you sitting there, Dougie, having gotten comfortable and quietly letting your thoughts wander whilst enjoying the contents of your thermos.Smile
A delightful scene, no matter what the weather is up to. (within reason, of course)

However dull the day you were still inspired, Dougie.

I really like the composition here Dougie. That rock in the middle ground provides a nice 'step' between the foreground reeds and the mountains.

Even without the tree there are image to be had...dull days, bright days, ye, keep em coming Dougie, nice one.

Beautiful shades of green on the reeds, it looks chilly and autumnal. The low hanging clouds over the mountains are a beautiful contrast to the clearness in the wather.
