...Sgurr nan Gillean and the little Loch nan Eilean on the road from Glen Brittle down to Sligachan, on the Isle of Skye.

The ferocious midges made breakfast from a fellow photographer and myself who met at this gorgeous spot early Sunday morning.

Mr. Salteri, thank you for this one...a refreshing, cool view which contrasts beautifully with the sultry heat here in Rome that already at 70.00hrs has reached 30°
All the best
David

Lovely shot Doug. Was worth the battle with the midges. I hear you have it bad this year with them. Keep snapping though. Is well worth it.

There was a piece on BBC news where they showed a trap used to monitor numbers.
They opened it up and from one night there was a bag containing about 1kg of midges, they thought about 1.5 million !
Looking inside made me itch...

A nice calm shot, Dougie, that doesn't reflect the likely arm flapping and swearing behind the camera. Wink

You Scots should be used to the minor irritation that is the midgie by now Dougie :o)

Classic work under extremely difficult circumstances! Faultless.
