Some wonderful light and colours from this iconic location, Dougie: I never tire of shots from here, especially when as good as this.
The rushing waters in the immediate f/g contrast well with he smoother waters upstream.

Lovely tones and contrasts. An image you can let your eyes wander round picking up details all the time.

Full of mood Dougie. I see what you mean about viewing in subdued light. It really brings out the colour and clarity.

Well I'm viewing this in subdued light, and it's impressive. The cloud reaching down towards the white water...

Oooooo....superb shot Dougie !!!....lovely composition, but it's the drama in the light & colours that create
the 'oomph' in this cracking piece of work !!

I'm happy to offer my UA on this corker !!....impressive !

That distant fortress of a mountain is very menacing, Dougie. It almost feels like the water is trying to get as far away as possible ans as quickly as possible. Darkness prevails.
Very atmospheric. One can almost hear the approaching threat and the dangers it brings.

Scottish kind of volcanic activity! Smile
Superbly caught "The Mountain", and the river too. Seems there is no shortness of water. Smile
